I’ve been struggling with the same dilemma, but for different reasons. I’m not sure if I’m ready. I’m not sure if I have the energy in me, I’m not sure how much planning I should do before starting the thing, I’m not sure if I’m even capable of writing a novel. The jump from 2k (the length of my longer pieces) to 50k feels unreal to me.

Then again, if I don’t try it, I’ll never know. But is now a good time?

I’ve keep going back and forth with this. After reading your post, I’m leaning toward yes. Let’s see how I feel tomorrow.
